Green Clay Face Mask For Dry, Normal or Oily/Acne Skin |
The clay mask recipes are designed for different skin types: dry, normal or oily/acne. It's up to you then choose the best and the most suitable to your needs.
First, however, it is necessary to prepare the mask clay base which then will integrate with other ingredients depending on the type of skin on which you want to apply.
MASK BASE
Ingredients: 1 cup of green clay, 1 teaspoon honey, 1 teaspoon of extra virgin olive oil, ½ glass of mineral water (not tap water because it most likely contains chlorine).
Preparation: In a bowl pour the water at room temperature, dissolve the honey, slowly add the oil and the clay, mix well with a wooden spoon (not metal otherwise you risk that the clay will absorb a bit) until you get a smooth paste without lumps. At this point your completed form by adding one of the recipes that follow below.
DRY SKIN
At the base mask add 2 tablespoons of infusion of mallow leaves, ¼ teaspoon of olive oil (rosehip or sweet almond) and mix well. Finally add 1 to 3 drops of sandalwood essential oil. Hold on for 3 minutes.
NORMAL SKIN
At the basic mask simply add 1 to 3 drops of lavender essential oil. Hold for 5 minutes.
OILY SKIN/ACNE
At the base mask add 1 tablespoon of fresh squeezed lemon juice and stir at the time. You can enrich your clay face mask with 1-3 drops of essential oil of lemon or grapefruit. Keep on for 10 minutes.
Tips and Warnings:
Apply the green clay mask with a spatula on the face, nose and face, leave on for as long as not worrying about whether the skin pulls a little bit, it is quite normal. Then remove the clay with a sponge dipped in warm water, if under the skin is slightly reddened is not a problem, it happens to the very sensitive skin but within a few minutes it will back in place. If you have leftover clay mask that you have prepared for your face but do not throw away, you can use it somewhere else such as the buttocks (about 30 minutes ) will help to reduce and combat stretch marks.
