Homemade Facials Masks - easy to make face mask |
The skin on our face is delicate (and at times, temperamental), so finding good quality, healthy products to clean, moisturize, and exfoliate is important. The problem is that so many of the commercial products available for facial care are full of man-made chemicals. These chemicals and toxins can leave your skin dry, irritated, or inflamed.
Luckily, it is easy to make homemade facials masks at home!
You don’t need to spend hundreds of dollars buying creams, cleaners, masks and other products to have beautiful skin. You can make all of your own facials care (and skin care) products at home, with natural and healthy ingredients.
Here are the basic elements of a good facial cleansing routine:
Clean your skin:
It’s important to clean off any makeup, dirt, grease, food residue, or whatever else may be on your face. The Oil Cleansing Method is a great way to wash your face, since it naturally cleans and dissolves the bad oils on your skin, without drying out the delicate facial skin. If you don’t like the OCM, you can try one of these 5 homemade face wash recipes!
Exfoliating is important to keeping healthy skin, because it may help get rid of dead skin, while drawing out other impurities. There are a ton of great exfoliating face masks and methods to help you do this, using only natural ingredients.
I put together a list of my favorite 13 simple exfoliating face scrubs, so you have a variety to choose from. I generally exfoliate once or twice a week, depending on how my face is feeling.

Chamomile Homemade Facials Masks: Mix together 1/8 cup chamomile tea leaves with 1/4 cup honey, 2 tbsp aloe vera and 1 tsp jojoba or olive oil. Gently rub into skin, using circular motions, and allow to sit for 20 minutes, then rinse.
Moisturize Face mask
After your face is cleaned, exfoliated, and renewed with a mask, then it’s time to moisturize. I use a thin layer of my Oil Cleansing Method mix, but coconut oil, grapeseed oil, or olive oil are also great options. I moisturize every morning before I put on makeup, and every evening, after I wash my face.
